Ingredients:
Two cups split chickpeas (400g), soaked for 2 hours
One medium-sized onion (150g), chopped
Four cloves of garlic (15g)
(6g) fresh coriander and (6g) fresh parsley
One tbsp cumin
One tbsp coriander
One tbsp sesame seeds
One tsp salt
Half a tsp black pepper
One fourth of a tsp baking soda
One large egg
Instructions:
1. Start by soaking two cups of split chickpeas in warm water for two hours.
2. Strain the soaked chickpeas and add them to a mixing bowl. Combine with chopped onion, garlic, fresh coriander, and parsley. Use a meat grinder or food processor to blend until smooth.
3. Add cumin, coriander, sesame seeds, salt, black pepper, baking soda, and a large egg to the mixture. Mix thoroughly until you achieve a moist consistency. Add a little water if needed.
4. Utilize a falafel mold to shape the mixture into falafel balls. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel until they turn golden brown, ensuring they are crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
