Grilled Hamour (Whole Fish) |
Relish the flavor of the ocean with stuffed and grilled Hamour!
Preparation Time: 20 minutes approximately
Cooking Time: 80 minutes approximately
Serves: 6 persons
All you need
2 kg fish, hamour, cleaned
4 tomatoes, cut in round slices
2 green peppers cut in rounds
3 onions, cut in round slices
3 lemons, peeled & cut in round slices
1/2 cup vegetable oil
For the stuffing:
1 cup fresh coriander, chopped
2 green hot peppers, cut in halves with seeds removed
1 red hot pepper, cut in halves with seeds removed
2 cloves garlic, peeled
3 tbsps vegetable oil
1/2 tsp al alali Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp salt
Directions
- For the stuffing, in a food processor, mix all the ingredients until mixture becomes homogeneous
- Using a knife, make 3 cuts on both sides of the fish, fill in the cuts with the stuffingÙˆ with the remaining stuffing, rub the whole fish
- In an oven tray, pour the vegetable oil and place the fish, bake for 20 minutes
- Remove the tray from the oven, spread the tomato, pepper, onion & lemon slices over the fish randomly
- Cover the tray with aluminium foil and return to oven for around 1 hour or until cooked
- Place the fish in a serving plate and decorate with the grilled sliced vegetables
- Serve hot with pita bread and enjoy!
