Potato Balls with Chicken and White Sauce

Baked mashed potato balls with chicken and topped with bechamel sauce and cheese. Pretty darn tasty.

Ingredients

📌To prepare the first layer:

Vegetable oil

7 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1 kilo chicken breast, sliced

salt

black pepper

Mixed spices

Cinnamon

3 pieces of carrots, sliced

3 pieces of colored pepper, cut into slices

1/4 cup of water

1/2 cup of corn

📌To prepare the white sauce:

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup of butter

3 cups of milk

1 cup cooking cream

📌To prepare the potato balls layer:

5 potatoes

50 grams of butter

salt

Black or white pepper

📌To garnish:

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese

chopped parsley (optional)


Method

Preparing the first layer:

1. In a saucepan, add vegetable oil, garlic, and chicken breasts. Cover and stir from time to time until the color of the chicken changes.

2. Add salt, black pepper, mixed spices, and cinnamon. Stir, cover the pot and leave on the fire until the chicken water dries up.

3. Put the carrots, then stir, cover and leave for 3 minutes on the fire.

4. Add colored pepper and the same spices added previously (salt, black pepper, mixed spices, cinnamon) and stir.

5. Add a quarter of a cup of water and stir, then let it simmer for two minutes.

6. Add the corn, stir and leave it covered for a minute, then turn off the heat. leave aside.

Prepare the white sauce:

1. In a saucepan over the stove, add the flour, stirring, and toast it a little.

2. Add the butter and mix it with the flour until smooth. Then we add the milk and stir the mixture.

3. Add the cooking cream, salt, black pepper and continue to stir until it boils and becomes medium thick. leave aside.

Prepare the potato balls layer:

1. Put the hot boiled potatoes in a bowl with butter, salt and black pepper and mash them well to get a smooth texture and set them aside.

Prepare the dish:

1. Spread the chicken mixture in a pyrex dish, then pour 3/4 of the white sauce over the chicken layer.

2. We decorate the mashed potatoes and distribute them in the tray. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and the rest of the white sauce on top.

3. Preheat the oven at 180°C, then place the dish in the oven on the middle shelf for 10 minutes, then turn on the grill so that the face acquires a golden color.

4. Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve. May God bless you and heal you.
